WHEREAS, the Government of Cape Verde (hereinafter referred to as the “Government”) has requested the members of the United Nations Country Team in Cape Verde (hereinafter referred to as the “UNCT”), under the leadership of the United Nations Resident Coordinator in Cape Verde, as the Co-Chair of the Steering Committee, as defined herein, (hereinafter referred to as the “Resident Coordinator”), to develop a single framework for their activities in support of national development priorities and accordingly the members of the UNCT have prepared a One UN Programme Document dated 1 July 2008 (hereinafter referred to as the “One UN Programme”), as may be amended from time to time and attached hereto as ANNEX A;
