REIMBURSABLE UMBRELLA INTERAGENCY AGREEMENT BETWEENInteragency Agreement • December 17th, 2020
This Umbrella IAA (hereinafter referred to as the "IAA" or "Umbrella IAA") shall be for the purpose of allowing USCG personnel to utilize JSC's Neutral Buoyancy Laboratory (NBL) for training in a unique and controlled environment. The USCG has the mission of defending the country's maritime interests. By law, they are charged with eleven specific missions including: search and rescue; port, waterway, and coastal security; marine safety; and defense readiness. MSST 91104 requires continued proficiency and skills training in a number of areas and on a number of systems which can be accommodated in the NBL. The NBL provides a safe, controlled environment in which training to conduct each of these missions can be provided to USCG personnel. The NBL is unique in that it contains large scale structures that can be used during search and rescue training; video capability to record, monitor, and analyze for future lessons learned and enhanced technique development; and control rooms for monito
