The Central Florida Health Information Technology Initiative (the “Initiative”) is the Regional Extension Center for Brevard, Lake, Orange, Osceola, Polk, Seminole and Volusia counties in the State of Florida as designated by the National Coordinator at the United States Department of Health and Human Services (US DHHS). The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has approved The Agency for Health Care Administration (the “Agency”) funding for providing additional technical assistance to qualified dentists pursuant to the provisions of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) through the Implementation Advance Planning Document for the State Medicaid Electronic Health Record (EHR) Incentive Program approved on April 9, 2011. The funding will be provided to Regional Extension Centers (RECs) to provide technical assistance as needed to dentists who do not qualify for REC assistance under ARRA legislation.
