NONREIMBURSABLE SPACE ACT AGREEMENT SAA1-34215 BETWEENSpace Act Agreement • April 7th, 2021
Contract Type FiledApril 7th, 2021This collaborative effort between SIT and NASA LaRC will promote hypersonics workforce development, further the understanding of turbulent and transitional hypersonic boundary layer (BL) physics, and advance state-of-the-art focused laser differential interferometry (FLDI) technique. Dr. Nick Parziale, a renowned world expert on FLDI, and his graduate student will travel to LaRC to conduct test entries in the Langley Aerothermodynamics Laboratory (LAL) in fiscal year (FY) 2021 and FY2022 using SIT FLDI instrumentation to characterize a turbulent and transitional hypersonic boundary layer and shockwave/BL interactions.
