City staff has received many requests over the past few years, and particularly during the master plan process, for the development of bike share stations in North Kansas City. The local bike share network, Kansas City B-cycle, is a program of BikeWalkKC, a non-profit organization that works to make Greater Kansas City a safer and more accessible place to walk, bicycle, live, work, and play. BikeWalkKC operates 30 bike share stations in Kansas City, all south of the river. One of the busiest stations in their network is at 3rd and Grand in the Rivermarket.
