RE: Temporary License Agreement to support the Jan Peek Bridge sidewalk reconstructionTemporary License Agreement • March 18th, 2022
Contract Type FiledMarch 18th, 2022Transit Construction Corp (TCC) has been hired by the NYS Department of Transportation to reconstruct the sidewalk on the Jan Peek Bridge (see attached map). While most of the work will occur on the bridge surface, TCC has asked the City if it can park a boom lift under the bridge in the Annsville Preserve for several months starting on April 4, 2022 to facilitate work under the bridge. TCC’s work would consist of sandblasting, priming, and painting the steel beams underneath the bridge sidewalk. They would erect sufficient barriers on the ground to prevent pedestrians from entering the work zone. The park and most of this trail would remain open to the public, but the work zone will be closed for the duration. TCC staff would access the work site Monday through Friday at 7am and 5pm by driving through the Annsville parking lot and onto the path in a pickup truck daily. TCC would erect signage to alert the public, and any damage to the path would be restored.
