FiledFebruary 22nd, 2012The purpose of this agreement is to promote joint management of 12,000 acres of Idaho Department of Fish and Game (IDFG) lands and 20,000 acres of National Forest lands in the Snow Peak-Canyon Creek area of the Idaho Panhandle National Forests (IPNF). The IDFG received title to the property from Plum Creek Timber Corporation in 1989 through a complex exchange. The area now consists of a checkerboard ownership of State and National Forest lands (Figure 1). The objective of this plan is to manage the area for multiple use, with wildlife management receiving highest priority.
