In January 2014, a Joint Information Management, Communication and Awareness-raising Unit (IMCA) consisting of staff from both the UNEP/CMS and UNEP/AEWA Secretariats was established as a pilot project in accordance with the decisions of the 9th Meeting of the AEWA Standing Committee and the 41st Meeting of the CMS Standing Committee.
