Rome, 22 January 2015 - Finmeccanica-AnsaldoBreda won a contract of about 250 million Euro for the supply of 47 driverless trains. The contract follows the signature of the agreement and the financing arrangements for line M4 of the Milan underground.Supply Agreement • January 22nd, 2015
The driverless and articulated trains can carry up to 600 passengers and have a top speed of 80 km/h, operating in both directions. The new underground line will link Milan's Linate Airport to San Cristoforo railway station, crossing the city centre from East to West with 15 stops over 14.5 km.
