serve on active duty while fulfilling designated DoD Component service ob- ligations. DoD civilian employees shall sign a continued service agreement that complies with section 2200 of title 10, United States Code, prior to com- mencement of their education, to con- tinue service within the Department of Defense upon conclusion of their edu- cation, for a period equal to three times the length of the education pe- riod. The period of obligated service is in addition to any other period for which the recipient is obligated to serve on active duty or in the civil service, as the case may be. Individ- uals, who fail to complete the degree program satisfactorily, or to fulfill the service commitment, shall be required to reimburse the United States pursu- ant to 10 U.S.C. 2200a(e) for payments paid to them through the DoD IASP unless a waiver, in whole or in part, is granted by the DoD IASP Executive Administrator. Head of Components are responsible to ensure enforcement of these agreement
