FiledMay 26th, 2020The Racy Point Bridge is located along CR13S approximately 3 miles south of CR214. Due to damages at the bridge approaches (caused by Hurricane Irma and other storm events), as a part of the FY 2020 budget, the BCC had approved funds for the completion of a study and design of the repairs. Construction was planned for FY 2021. Since a portion of the damages were as a result of Hurricane Irma, the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) has agreed the provide grant funds for certain portions of these repairs. There is no local funding match required, however, the reimbursement of this FDOT grant is limited to a maximum of $160,463.14 (FDOT grant agreement attached). In order to use the grant funds for the intended purpose, the funds must be recognized as unanticipated revenue and appropriated to the Transportation Trust Fund (TTF). Additionally, in order to take advantage of the FDOT grant funding, funds for construction programed for FY 2021 need to be advanced into the current FY
