As Treasurer I report that the Association continues to be in a sound financial position. The level of reserves is such that they could sustain the Association’s operations for one year. The Auditor’s Report and 2001 Financial Statements are avail- able from the Association office. They will be distributed at the Annual General Meeting and are also posted on the website. There has been a small increase in the membership. At June 30, 2001, there were 3772 members on the register (up from 3747 in 2000) with 2761 being residents of Manitoba. Of the 3772, 231 are professional geoscientists, of which18 hold dual registrations.
