This process also meets the requirements of the Faculty Collective Bargaining Agreement (the Agreement): Per Article 32(III)(G), “A college shall establish a faculty position hiring prioritization committee or equivalent under: (1) the auspices of its Academic Senate; or (2) its shared governance Committee with the consent of its Academic Senate to recommend hiring prioritization for tenure track faculty positions and temporary replacement faculty positions. AFT representation shall be included.” The LASC Faculty Hiring Prioritization Committee will be under the auspices of the LASC Academic Senate.
