An otherwise eligible employee who fails to meet the requirement set out in paragraph due to an approved parental or medical leave will be offered the buyout if they return to work in the Bargaining Unit within the twelve (12) month period following the Sunday following the Date of Ratification and competently perform their duties for a minimum of six (6) months from the date of return.
