Rapid City Area Schools (the District) enters into this Voluntary Resolution Agreement (Agreement) to resolve the above-referenced compliance review regarding its discipline and advanced learning policies and practices conducted by the United States Department of Education, Office for Civil Rights (OCR), and to ensure compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (Title VI), 42 U.S.C. § 2000d et seq., and its implementing regulation at 34 C.F.R. Part 100. This Agreement does not constitute an admission of noncompliance by the District. This Agreement incorporates the resolution and monitoring of OCR #07-08-1048, which is closed as of the date of this Agreement.
