On January 26, 1999 your Board received a Report On Siting Artificial Recharge Locations Discussed at the Santa Margarita Groundwater Basin Advisory Committee. At that meeting staff was directed to work with the Bay Area Shared Information Consortium (BASIC) and the Santa Margarita Groundwater Basin Advisory Committee to develop an appropriate scope of work and identify the level of County staff support necessary to complete this Agreement. That portion of the work is now done and has been approved by the Santa Margarita Groundwater Basin Advisory Committee. An Agreement Between The County Santa Cruz and Bay Area Shared Information Consortium Regarding The Identification of Potential Groundwater Recharge Areas For The Santa Margarita Groundwater Basin has been prepared and is included as Attachment 1 to this report.
