The parties acknowledge the pervasive and ongoing harms of colonialism faced by the First Nations, Métis, and Inuit peoples. These harms include the widespread systemic racism against First Nations, Métis, and Inuit peoples, as persons served and staff of British Columbia’s Community Social Services and other provincial service providers. We are committed to confronting and healing the systemic racism underlying these colonial systems in our province and community social services.
