FiledFebruary 8th, 2010The Roaring Fork Transportation Authority (the “Authority”), was established in November 2000 for the purposes set forth in the Colorado Rural Transportation Authority Law, Title 43, Article 4, Part 6, Colorado Revised Statutes (“C.R.S.”) and the Roaring Fork Transportation Authority Intergovernmental Agreement (the “I.G.A.”) which established the Authority between the member governing bodies (Members) of the City of Aspen, Town of Basalt, Town of Carbondale, Eagle County, City of Glenwood Springs, Pitkin County and Town of Snowmass Village. In 2004, the Town of New Castle became a member of the Authority. In 2006, the Colorado Legislature changed the designation of the Authority to a Regional, rather than Rural, Transportation Authority. C.R.S. 43-4-601.
