For the 2022-23 school year, the State of California has moved away from offering all students the opportunity to participate in Independent Study. Moving forward, Independent Study qualifications return to requiring a doctor’s medical note verifying student need for this type of program. All other considerations for Independent Study are a case by case and not guaranteed*.
