BACKGROUND: Hancock Forest Management, Inc. (“HFM”) manages land on behalf of various clients within the Watershed of Big Creek Reservoir (the “Watershed”), from which the City of Newport, Oregon (the “City”) collects much of its municipal water for treatment and distribution to customers. A map of the watershed of Big Creek Reservoir and lands managed by HFM are included in this agreement as Attachment 1.
