As of 1 December 2017, the Commonwealth Government is a signatory to the Australia-United States Free Trade Agreement (AUSFTA), the Australia-Chile Free Trade Agreement (AClFTA), the Korea-Australia Free Trade Agreement (KAFTA), the Japan-Australia Economic Partnership Agreement (JAEPA) and the Singapore-Australia Free Trade Agreement (SAFTA). The Government Procurement chapters of each free trade agreement1 contain legally binding requirements relating to procurement activities conducted by particular government agencies, including Western Australian government agencies.
