In response to the Cypress Point II (54 lots) need for fire protection, St. Johns County Utility Department staff has been working with their Homeowner Association (HOA) to extend water service from SR 206 to their community. HDG Cypress Point, LLC (Developer) is the developer of a single- family subdivision known as Cypress Point Estates (anticipated 57 lots). For water service to the development, the Developer must install a 10-inch (nominal diameter) watermain from CR 206 to the project. Cypress Point Drive to Colonial Drive serves as the common watermain route for both Cypress Point II and the future Cypress Point Estates. Due to the immediate need for fire protection, the Cypress Point II timeline is well ahead of the Developer. To accommodate utility system regional needs, the Developer has agreed to expedite construction with the County paying half the cost.
