The South East Growth Deal agreed on 7 July 2014 and expanded on 29 January 2015 aims to contribute to the Local Enterprise Partnership’s Strategic Economic Plan by helping to renew the physical and intellectual capital of the South East. The Deal will focus initially on transport infrastructure and meeting the skills capital requirements identified by the Local Enterprise Partnership but will lay the foundations for increased growth across the South East Local Enterprise Partnership area. It will give renewed impetus to the delivery of much-needed new jobs and homes in the Thames Gateway and in other key growth locations, including at a new garden city of Ebbsfleet and will act as a spur to the revival of the area’s many coastal towns.
