In addition, a local Kaipara Kai Transformation Hub (“the Hub”) will be opened to immediately begin assisting local farmers to investigate and introduce higher-value crops.The Hub will initially employ one full time employee, and will operate from existing premises leased or owned by KDC. The office will be the hub in Kaipara for industry experts and stakeholders. It will provide a location for collaboration, and support development of horticultural opportunities and for transformation to high value crops.
