Users of data provided by GDCs, whether open or controlled access, agree not to attempt to re-identify any individual participant in any study represented by GDC data for any purpose. This includes, but is not limited to, the use of analytical methods of re-identification in genome or clinical data. GDC- controlled access data Additional restrictions on the publication or other dissemination of analytical or other dissemination of individual projects supported by the GDC may be listed in the Data Exploitation Agreement. It is the investigator's duty to know and understand the Data Usage Agreements signed by them, as well as to comply with the restrictions set out there in them. GDC open access data GDCs shall not in themselves implement any restrictions (other than re-identification attempts) on the analysis or publication of open access data provided through the GDC data portal.
