Mentor Commitment Agreement
Mentor Commitment Agreement • September 22nd, 2010

This is strictly a voluntary program. The individual that you will be mentoring must be a full-time or permanent part-time staff member of the University of Mississippi and be in need of some type of professional or personal guidance from a non-supervisory member of the university. You cannot be a supervisor to the individual in any capacity and it is strongly encouraged to only mentor staff members who work in a separate department from you. Sometimes it can take a while to resolve an issue or see progress in a particular area. We ask that you commit to meeting with your mentee for a minimum of one semester and be able to meet at least once a month. If you are planning on meeting during work hours (not during lunch) you will need the written authorization of your immediate supervisor or department head.
