DIRECTED PROJECT CONTRACT (DCPS School without Walls Internship)Project Contract • May 21st, 2022
This directed project will serve as a practicum, teaching the student various skills involved in Latin pedagogy. The student will assist Ms. Jane Brinley’s (Latin class assignment to be negotiated) class on (Days and times to be negotiated) at The DCPS School Without Walls in Washington DC. The student’s duties as an assistant will include: tutoring pupils as necessary, answering pupils’ questions, leading class activities, helping to administer quizzes and tests, writing at least one test, and composing and teaching at least one lesson. Before each classroom meeting the student will study the material for the class, preparing to help the pupils read and understand the assigned texts. In addition, the student will regularly meet with Ms. Brinley and Dr. Fisher to discuss her experiences and assess his/her progress.
