00008845 Liaison Officer Level 2 Public Service and Government Officers General Agreement 13 April 2017 Mental Health Commission The Mental Health Advocacy Service is established by Part 20 of the Mental Health Act 2014 and assists people who are subject to involuntary mental health treatment orders or residents of psychiatric hostels to ensure their rights are protected. Advocacy Services Staff, including this position, support the Chief Mental Health Advocate to perform his or her functions under the Act. The Mental Health Advocacy Service is operationally independent of the Mental Health Commission which provides corporate support services and is the employing authority of Advocacy Services Staff.
