The Sandstone Stewardship Contract is located in T11N, R14E, Sections 4, 5, 8, 9, and 16, Coconino County, Arizona. The Forest Service will receive technical and price proposals at the Black Mesa Ranger District Office, 2748 SR Hwy 260, Overgaard, AZ 85933 no later than 2:00 PM local time on September 8, 2016 for an estimated 13,882 CCF (Hundred Cubic Feet) of ponderosa pine high value sawtimber (12”+ DBH) and 4360 CCF of ponderosa pine medium value sawtimber (9”-11.9” DBH) marked or otherwise designated for cutting. In addition, within the area is an estimated 3118 CCF of ponderosa pine pulpwood material that the successful bidder agrees to remove at a fixed rate. The mandatory stewardship item is the removal of all created slash on 2883 acres. The optional stewardship item is the removal of all designated pre-commercial trees (>3ft. tall to 4.9” DBH) on 2883 acres.
