The parties are agreed that the purpose of the Agreement is to provide orderly collective bargaining relations between the Company and the Union, to secure prompt and equitable disposition of grievances, and to eliminate interruptions of work and interference with the proper operations of the Company’s business, and to maintain mutually satisfactory working condi- tions, hours and wages for the employees covered by this Agreement. It is an objective of the Company and the Union to provide full and efficient employment in an atmosphere of cooperation. The parties that to meet the above objective, it is necessary to remain a consistently profitable company.
