Memorandum of Understanding Beacon Network Schools Innovation Zone

This is a Memorandum of Understanding (“MOU”) between the Board of Education (the “BOE”) for School District No. 1 in the City and County of Denver (the “District”), and the Beacon Network Schools Innovation Zone (the “Organization”), a Colorado nonprofit corporation that is seeking tax-exempt status under § 509(a) of the Internal Revenue Code as an organization whose sole purpose is to govern the Innovation Zone comprised of Grant Beacon Middle School and Kepner Beacon Middle School (collectively, “Beacon Zone Schools ”). This MOU is between the Organization and the BOE and should be considered separate from the Zone application and each school’s Innovation plan.
