Google allows for students and teachers to create documents, presentations, etc. using Internet based applications. It allows for collaboration, which will only be between members of the uniontown235.org domain for grades PK-8. This means that only people associated with USD 235 have access to emailing, chatting and posting on these Google based services. Students in grades 9-12 have open email access. Because of your child's age, your child's access to Google Apps for Education requires your permission. We are requesting permission for your child to fully participate in the communication portions of Google Apps for Education such as (1) sending and receiving emails (the internal e-mail system only between USD 235 staff and students for PK-8), (2) reading and posting messages in Google Apps for Education; and (3) personalizing certain areas in Google that are controlled by the child such as his/her profile page, portfolios and pages.
