Instructions: This agreement is intended to help you and your roommates have a successful year at USI. Please consider each person's needs thoroughly and attempt to anticipate as many circumstances and potential problem areas as possible. One way to handle difficult problems or potential conflicts is to talk about them openly and reflect upon past roommate disagreements. Sometimes it is easier to impose more stringent restrictions at the beginning of the year and then, as time goes by, relax them as appropriate. If few or no restrictions are imposed at the beginning, conflicts, problems or dissatisfactions often can arise later in the year. You may even want to post this in a highly visible area as a reminder throughout the year. Must be turned into your RA by Monday, September 8. You may request a copy to keep in your apartment.
