In February 2010, the City of Durham and North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) entered into a Municipal Maintenance Agreement for the maintenance of traffic signals on the State’s Highway System within or near the City. Subject to the availability of NCDOT funds, the Agreement contained a provision for one year extensions (up to five years) incorporating mutually agreed upon reimbursement rate increase adjustments.
