The Director-General of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) has the honour to refer to the Agreement on Port State Measures to Prevent, Deter and Eliminate Illegal, Unreported and Unregulated Fishing, which was approved by the FAO Conference at its Thirty-sixth Session in November 2009, through Resolution No 12/2009 of 22 November 2009, under Article XIV, paragraph 1 of the FAO Constitution.
