In November 1998, Government signed an agreement with Newfoundland Bonding and Composites Limited (subsequently changed to CHC Composites Inc.). CHC Composites Inc. (Composites) is a wholly owned subsidiary of CHC Helicopter Corporation (CHC Helicopter) and was established in July 1998 to provide manufacturing, repair and engineering services for aircraft components. Composites commenced operations in Gander in July 1999.
