It is the mutual desire of the parties to this Collective Agreement to promote cooperation and harmony, and to provide an amicable method of settling any differences or grievances which may arise between the Company and the Union, keeping in mind at all times that the welfare and prosperity of the employees is contingent upon the Company's ability to carry on a competitive and successful business operation.
