WHEREAS, pursuant to O.C.G.A. § 48-5-359.1, the City of Brunswick (hereinafter “City”) and Glynn County (hereinafter “County”) may contract, subject to approval by the Glynn County Tax Commissioner (hereinafter “Tax Commissioner”), for the Tax Commissioner to prepare the tax digest for the City of Brunswick; to assess and collect City taxes in the same manner as County taxes; and, for the purpose of collecting such City taxes, to invoke any remedy permitted for collection of municipal taxes;
