The City Council of the City of South El Monte has adopted, and the voters of the City of South El Monte (hereafter called “City” or “District”) have approved by the required majority vote, the City of South El Monte Transactions and Use Tax Ordinance (hereafter called “Ordinance”), a copy of which is attached hereto. To carry out the provisions of Part 1.6 of Division 2 of the Revenue and Taxation Code and the Ordinance, the California State Department of Tax and Fee Administration, (hereinafter called the “Department”) and the City do agree as follows:
