This lease is made under the authority of Section 43 U.S.C. 1337, subsection 8(p) of the Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act of August 7, 1953 (43 U.S.C. 1331 et seq.), as amended, (hereinafter called the "Act"), between the United States of America, (hereinafter called "Lessor") acting through the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, its authorized officer, and Florida Atlantic University Board of Trustees (hereinafter called "Lessee"). In consideration of the promises, terms, conditions, covenants, and stipulations contained herein or attached hereto, the parties mutually agree as follows:
