Chromebook and Video Chat Agreement • February 18th, 2021

Every McHenry District #15 student will be provided a Chromebook. The student will be responsible for any damage to or loss of the issued device. Use of a Chromebook, like any other use of District technology, is governed by the District's Acceptable Use Policy, which students and their parents/guardians are responsible for reviewing and understanding. This document also provides additional guidance about taking care of the equipment, using it to complete assignments, and being a good digital citizen. The district utilizes an Internet content filter that is in compliance with the federally mandated Children's Internet Protection Act (CIPA). All Chromebooks, regardless of physical location (in or out of school), will have all Internet activity filtered. However, parents shall assume responsibility for monitoring Internet usage since Internet filters are not guaranteed to block all explicit content.
