The PGA Tour, Inc. ("Tour") will host the 2024 THE PLAYERS Championship at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach in St. Johns County from March 12-17, 2024. St. Johns County ("County") and the Tour have entered into agreements for prior tournaments for the County to provide emergency medical staffing and coverage during the tournament and for the Tour to reimburse the cost for such staffing and coverage. In compensation for services, which include Fire Protection, Emergency Medical Services, Emergency Communications, and Incident Management Team Staffing, THE PLAYERS event will compensate the County a total fee of $85,805 for all event services provided. The proposed agreement for the 2024 tournament is attached to this agenda item for review and approval by the Board.
