The license agreement is a contract between you and your landlord. It can be written or verbal. The tenancy agreement gives certain rights to both you and your landlord. For example, your right to occupy the accommodation and the right of your landlord to receive the rent to leave the accommodation. You and your landlord may have made arrangements about tenancy, and these will be part of the license agreement as long as they do not deal with the law. Both you and your landlord have rights and responsibilities given by law. The license agreement can give both you and your landlord more than your legal rights, but it can not give you less than your legal rights. If a term in the license agreement gives or you or your landlord less than your legal rights, this term cannot be applied.
