This has included expanding field based services in outlying offices and in the field. Being able to fully service the public in the districts and in the community has been limited by access to critical files and information critical to help the public and make good decisions. The vision of HSA is to have Environmental Health programs available in the districts in conjunction with the Planning Department. The 2000-200 1 Budget for EHS discussed a document imaging project which would make files available to staff in the districts and to the public via the and on local computer networks. The Assessor’s Office has used a software system which captures their documents in electronic images. This process eliminated the need for bulky record storage and improve used of limited space resources in the Government
