This report also recommends that in accordance with the MOU and the City’s Salary Resolution the City’s maximum monthly contribution for medical insurance to the California Public Employees’ Retirement System (CalPERS), pursuant to the Public Employees’ Medical and Hospital Care Act (PEMHCA), for SEIU retirees be increased from $284.34 to $299.58, effective March 1, 2009.
