Contract Type FiledMay 3rd, 2018On March 8, 2018, in the City of Santiago de Chile, the Secretary of the Economy of Mexico, Ildefonso Guajardo, participated in the name of our country, in the signing of the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement of Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP), together with the Trade Ministers of other countries such as: Australia, Brunei Darussalam, Canada, Chile, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Peru, Singapore and Vietnam. This is an agreement that foresees the creation of a free trade zone among the countries already mentioned, which, according to estimates by the authority,1 will give access to 6 new markets for Mexico, namely Australia, Brunei Darussalam, New Zealand, Malaysia, Singapore and Vietnam, which together total 155 million potential consumers.
