This course will explore basic chemical principles concerning all phases of matter and the interactions as required by the New York State Regents Curriculum. In the school’s 6-day cycle, this class meets every day, with an additional period of lab 2 times. The double session may be used for labs, testing, class work or group activities. Students are required to complete “1,200 minutes of actual hands-on (not simulated) laboratory experience with satisfactory documented laboratory reports” in order to be eligible to take the Regents Chemistry Examination in June.
