Turbochargers and Stepper Motors are manufactured using machinery that has built-in, comprehensive checks and balances for quality control(QC). All turbos are electronically VSR balanced and QC checked before they leave the factory. They are manufactured to fine tolerances and unlikely to fail immediately upon install. Manufacturing to high standards gives an extremely low manufacture failure rate of around 1%.
