The objective of this Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) is to express the willingness of both parties to engage in the NJHealthConnect @ Your Library partnership to promote health equity to individuals in “at-risk” communities who lack access to technology. The grant will provide iPads to libraries in selected communities that can be loaned out to patrons to conduct low-cost telemedicine appointments, consult with a doctor, interview for a job, or obtain authoritative health information needed to make informed decisions about their health. Each iPad will be preconfigured with apps and links to: a) affordable telemedicine sites of major hospital systems in New Jersey by region; b) multilingual health information that reflects the ethnic diversity of New Jersey’s immigrant communities; c) apps for Zoom and Google Meet; d) mental health resources in English/Spanish; e) latest Covid information; f) Just for the Health of It portal for health and wellness information.
