The Convention between the Government of the Republic of the Philippines and the Government of New Zealand for the Avoidance of Double Taxation and the Prevention of Fiscal Evasion with Respect to Taxes on Income was signed in Manila on April 29, 1980. It entered into force on May 14, 1981 upon the exchange of the relevant instruments of ratification in Manila on that date. Its provisions on taxes apply on income derived or which accrued beginning January 1, 1981 in the Philippines and beginning April 1, 1981 in New Zealand.
